Back 40 Organics Ltd. (owned by Bernie and Kary Ehnes, and our children Christopher and Ashton) along with Canadian Prairie Organic Ltd. (owned by   Christine Ehnes and children Tyler and Tennille) together farm 4800 acres certified organic since 1992. Our farm is also certified by GOA and certifications for NOP/GOA, EU 834/2007, COR, and JAS (Japanese certification).

Part of this farm was originally homesteaded by our grandfather in 1911. The seed cleaning facility and main farm are located on the original homestead quarter. 

This year we planted Spring Wheat,Peas, Emmer, Red Fife, and Rye.

Red Fife has been grown on this farm back in the earlier years when our grandfather and Dad farmed here.

Our farm is located 21 km's south of Etzikom, in the southeast corner of Alberta. Over the years we have established and shipped to markets for our products  to Canada, USA, Europe, and Japan.
